Birthday Proclamation 9/28 at 11am; Bob Tomashevsky; Facebook; September 27, 2015.

You can learn more about BCR’s leftster management here.  “Leftster” is the combination of leftist and gangster, inspired by the left-originated “bankster.”

The reason why this comment is linked to Carl Davidson (KD) is because Bob Tomashevsky posted it on KD’s Facebook page.

Bob Tomashevsky: “Birthday Proclamation 9/28 at 11am

“At 11am on Monday, September 28, 2015 on the steps of City Hall members of the New York City Council will be issuing a Proclamation honoring Ethel Rosenberg on what would have been her 100th Birthday.  At least 9 members of the Meeropol Family will be on hand for this very special ceremony, and we invite you to join us.”

Yes, folks, U.S. lefties still celebrate Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, a communist couple convicted and executed for conspiracy to commit espionage related to passing U.S. atomic bomb information to the Soviet Union.  Communists claim the Rosenbergs were framed.  In 2008, “Morton Sobell, the co-defendant in their famous espionage trial, finally admitted that he and his friend, Julius, had both been Soviet agents.”  While many Rosenberg supporters had to “throw in the towel” for Julius after Mr. Sobell’s admission, they still tend to believe Ethel’s actions didn’t warrant execution.  The New York City Council “went the extra mile” and even issued a proclamation honoring Mrs. Rosenberg.  Interestingly, there’s nothing about the Rosenbergs or the proclamation on the NYC Council website.  In fairness, “only” 13 of the council’s 51 members signed the proclamation.

Actions like this should be no surprise.  Let’s look at World War II.

In 1939, Nazi (National Socialist German Workers’ Party) Germany and our alleged “savior,” the USSR, divvied up parts of Eastern Europe between them then pledged not to attack each other or support enemies of the other.  As long as the USSR wasn’t in Hitler’s crosshairs, U.S. communists were happy and opposed the U.S. entering World War II.  Nazi Germany didn’t become a USSR enemy until Hitler reneged on their deal and invaded the USSR in 1941.  Only when the USSR came under attack did U.S. communists flip-flop and support declaring war on Germany.  In addition to the countries it grabbed before WWII via its agreement with Hitler, after the war the USSR continued to occupy other countries it occupied during the war.  Nazi Germany vs. the USSR was simply left-on-left violence by two totalitarian countries looking to expand their borders.  Had the Nazis had not exacted a huge toll on the USSR, who’s to say Stalin wouldn’t have tried to roll across all of Europe, not just Eastern Europe?  If this had been the case, I have no doubt U.S. communists would have supported the USSR, not the U.S.

Carl Davidson (KD), one of our local lefty leaders, linked to a pie-chart image and commented, “One Chart, 10,000 Words...Keep it in mind when the US and NATO are backing the far right in the Ukraine.”  The pie chart shows World War II military deaths by country posted with the comment, “Now tell me again who saved the world from fascism?”  As a reminder, fascism is a leftist variant, not of the right.  One of the comments in the discussion thread read, “Every objective observer since World War II has agreed: The Soviet Union suffered the brunt of the war, suffered by far the most casualties and singlehandedly defeated the Nazis.  You’d have to be an extreme right-wing ideologue to deny that history.  It puts you in the same category as Holocaust deniers.”  Among the approximately 100 entries in the thread, not one disagreed with this view.  Because the USSR had 65% of the non-Axis “Military Deaths” and the US had 2%, these folks want us to believe the USSR “singlehandedly defeated the Nazis.”  Suffering “the brunt of the war” and military deaths as a measure of your contribution to victory is new to me.  I didn’t go to War College, but I think it’s better to kill a lot more of the enemy than they kill of you.

Local communists (LC) routinely celebrate the Battle of Stalingrad while ignoring D-Day.  The sole person who commented on “The Battle of Stalingrad and Black History” wrote, “Great piece, when I taught US History my students always learned the Red Army won that war.”  I wonder if the parents of his students knew what he taught.  In grade school I learned the USSR played a significant role in WWII, but not that it “singlehandedly defeated the Nazis.”

They celebrate May Day, but pass on Independence Day.  In fairness, KD did mention July 4th.  KD wrote, “The 4th of July is also noteworthy for two other revolutionary events, the union victories at Vicksburg and Gettysburg, won at a great cost.  This piece notes that Karl Marx and the International had a hand in it....”  The Battle of Gettysburg ended on July 3, 1863, not July 4th.  In any case, KD’s mention of “the 4th of July” had nothing to do with Independence Day.  The piece to which KD referred was “Who Won the Civil War? - A Victory for Marx and Other Radicals.”  Yes, you read that right.  KD was simply trying to credit Karl Marx for the outcome of the Civil War.  The subject piece asserted, “Revolutionary socialists were thus one of the many groups that won the Civil War.”  It’s hogwash, of course, but KD’s comrades swallow this stuff hook, line, and sinker without fact-checking.

In September 2015, communists held a Mid-Atlantic / Appalachian Regional Socialist Organizing Retreat in Palestine, WV.  Note the lack of “diversity” in the retreat’s cover photo.  In fairness, I don’t know how many of the whites shown self-identify as black.  If you go through the 233 photos, you’ll find a few non-whites.  Likewise, the management of the CommunistProgressive Democrats of America – PA 12th Congressional District Chapter [aka Beaver County Reds] is lily white.

KD posted a photo of himself at the retreat and wrote, “I’M BACK FROM PLOTTING THE REVOLUTION...with a band of young socialists and radicals in the mountains of West Virginia.  Click the pic.  I’m standing next to the Red Flag in the center...”  As with other photos, “diversity” wasn’t on display.

Responding to a comment, KD wrote, “We’re as American as apple pie, Mark, and we’re not going anywhere.  Get used to it.”  Hmm.  I looked at each of the 233 photos posted and none of them showed a US flag.  There were, however, several photos with the USSR flag, including the photo KD posted.  They did a good job keeping their confederate flags out of the posted photos. <g>  It does raise a good question, however.  How can someone honestly detest the confederate flag but proudly fly the flag of the Soviet Union?

Elsewhere in the thread, another lefty commented, “Great seein’ red flags and fists!  A BLM [Black Lives Matter] sign would’ve been nice…”  KD replied, “At the front of the house was a large banner, ‘From Ferguson to Palestine: It Is Right to Rebel!’”  What is it with leftists and raised fists?  Don’t leftists tell us they’re pacifists?

Lefties consistently tell us so-called “assault weapons” must be illegal, yet a few of the posted photos showed attendees with an AK-47-like firearm.

Among other lefty sources, LCs rely on “news” sources funded by the governments of Cuba (teleSUR), Russia (RT), and Venezuela (teleSUR).
