POST ‘SUPER TUESDAY’ THOUGHTS; Carl Davidson; Facebook; March 2, 2016.

You can learn more about BCR’s leftster management here.  “Leftster” is the combination of leftist and gangster, inspired by the left-originated “bankster.”

“POST ‘SUPER TUESDAY’ THOUGHTS. I find it amusing that I just got two messages from respected pundits.  One claims Bernie really ‘won’ and argues a neat line of speculation.  The other that Bernie should hang it up today and surrender to the ‘Third Way’ Clintonistas.

“As you might expect, I have a different take.

“First, the future is open. Lots can happen, even in weeks or a month. Just keep in mind that the Clinton history has lots of problems a gentleman wouldn’t dig into, but Trump is no gentleman. And yes, I know quite well that Bernie has always been the long shot. But as my late Dad, a friend of the ponies who did well with them, was know to quip: Don’t ignore the long shots. Now and then, they will come in.’

[RWC] “the Clinton history has lots of problems a gentleman wouldn’t dig into?”  Depending on your age, you may not know what KD’s talking about and that’s what he wants.

Mr. Clinton was a philanderer and his cheating on Mrs. Clinton goes back to at least 1982.  According to Wikipedia, “In 1998, in response to what she called false media claims that Clinton had raped her, Elizabeth Ward Gracen (former Miss Arkansas and Miss America) recanted a six-year-old denial and stated she had a one night stand with Clinton in 1982.”

During discovery for a sexual-misconduct civil lawsuit against Mr. Clinton while Arkansas governor, we learned Mr. Clinton continued that behavior while President.  The Lewinsky affair was the textbook example of a powerful, male superior taking advantage of a young, female subordinate.  Monica Lewinsky was an early-20s White House intern, only about seven years older than Mr. Clinton’s daughter.  Ms. Lewinsky testified she performed sex acts with Mr. Clinton nine times over a period of about 17 months, in the Oval Office no less.  In the end, a federal judge held Mr. Clinton in contempt of court, Arkansas suspended his law license for five years, and the U.S. Supreme Court did likewise.  Mr. Clinton was also fined $90,000 for providing false testimony.

As for Mrs. Clinton, she enabled her husband’s mistreatment of women.  Mrs. Clinton spent a chunk of her time as FLOTUS dealing with her husband’s “bimbo eruptions,” blaming them on a “vast right-wing conspiracy.”  It was the deputy chair (Betsey Wright) of the 1992 Clinton campaign who coined the derogatory term “bimbo eruptions.”  The “vast right-wing conspiracy” theory fell apart when we learned of the blue dress.  Readers may be surprised to learn I did not believe Mr. Clinton did what was claimed until the blue dress.  I didn’t like Mr. Clinton, but I didn’t want to believe a sitting U.S. president would have such little respect for his country, his office, and his family that he would do what he did.

If Mr. Clinton had been a gentleman, there wouldn’t be “lots of problems a gentleman wouldn’t dig into.”

Then there’s the Whitewater scandal, in which at least 12 individuals were convicted for various felonies, including the Clintons’ business partners and the governor of Arkansas for fraud?  Bill Clinton pardoned one of those business partners (Susan McDougal) on his last day in office.

What does KD think is important?  A nearly four-and-a-half years old (10/20/2011) story about Marco Rubio’s embellishment of the story of his parents’ emigration from Cuba.  As far as I can tell, most Rubio bios were corrected shortly after the story.

“Second, I have no intention of surrendering to Clinton and the ‘Third Way’ platform of crumbs and incrementalism, even though I would vote for her over Trump in a heartbeat. People who engage in long battles with just one eye open on half the battlefield will find themselves in trouble or irrelevant. Here’s one thing to keep in mind, Save for Massachusetts, all the states Hillary won in last night are likely going GOP in the Electoral College. It’s long been a complaint of Blacks in the South that their votes only have weight in one primary, not the general, ever since the Dixiecrats moved to the GOP, which then became the new party of the ‘Solid South.’”

[RWC] “ever since the Dixiecrats moved to the GOP?”  This is a lefty fairy tale.  Here’s an excerpt from that paper:

One local lefty opined, ‘True, segregationist Democrats, often called ‘Dixiecrats’ were long in control in the South.  They were the ‘conservatives’ of their day, the ones opposed to the Civil Rights Act.  However, civil rights activism and Supreme Court rulings against segregation turned things around.  The Dixiecrats abandoned the Democratic party in droves, creating the ‘new’ conservative Republicans of the so-called ‘solid South.’’’  This fairytale makes no sense.  The writer wants us to believe Democrats who switched parties were racists and the ‘good’ Democrats stayed Democrats.  Since Republicans were historically and are currently stronger on civil rights than Democrats, why on Earth would segregationist Democrats think the Republican Party would take up their racist policies?  If racist Democrats became Republicans in hopes of furthering racist policies, the strategy was a horrible failure for them.  The author didn’t provide one example of a Republican policy that was remotely racist.  Perhaps more telling, the writer didn’t mention any policy opposed by Republicans but supported by Democrats that truly helped minorities.”

There’s a lot more detail in “Lefty race baiters.”

“Third, I like to view elections as organizing opportunities rather than horse races. For that perspective, your forces can win even if your candidate doesn’t make it. You simply use all the activity to increase your strength to end with something greater than you started with, a notion that’s not original with me, but comes from a master campaign manager named Lenin.”

[RWC] Yes, folks, KD’s referring to the first dictator of the Soviet Union, Vladimir Ilyich Lenin (born Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov).  According to Wikipedia, “Under his [V.I. Lenin] administration, Russia and then the wider Soviet Union became a one-party communist state governed by the Russian Communist Party.  Ideologically a Marxist, his political theories are known as Leninism.”

“Finally, the conventional wisdom holds that Bernie is the weaker candidate vs Trump because of ‘socialism.’  I turn that around. Bernie’s honesty about what he is and what he stands for is his strength, and it’s all an open book.  Clinton, on the other hand, does indeed have scads of experience, but it’s also like an iceberg, most of it is unseen, and who knows what might pop up.”

[RWC] “Bernie’s honesty?”  Mrs. Clinton, Mr. Sanders, and Mr. Trump are all serial liars.

“It ain’t over till it’s over folks. It’s going to be a bumpy ride. Keep your eyes on the prizes--no Trump/Cruz./Rubio White House, and a much stronger and better organized socialist left. As Jean-Luc Picard would say, ‘Make it so, engage!’”
