You can learn more about BCR’s leftster management here.  “Leftster” is the combination of leftist and gangster, inspired by the left-originated “bankster.”

I don’t care what the ideology is, I don’t trust any government-run, subsidized, or whatever “news” sources.  Neither should anyone who values their freedom.  After addressing the subject pieces, there’s a small review at the end covering other government-run “news” sources KD likes.

“ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE … Again, this is for those of you not familiar with the diverse Chinese press and the wider Asian view of things.  I think you learn a few things here that you won’t find on Fox or Morning Joe.”

KD’s post links to “North Korea’s Kim Jong-un rewrites the book on the art of the deal with shrewd handling of Donald Trump in Singapore.”

“NOW FOR REAL NEWS OF INTEREST … Since most folks here don’t follow the rather diverse Chinese Press, here’s a peek at some important factors you might not see on Fox, MSNBC or CNN …”

KD’s post links to “China may take bigger role as ‘guarantor and mediator’ after Trump-Kim nuclear talks.”

[RWC] Twice in three days, KD wrote about the “diverse Chinese Press.”  KD failed to mention Red China’s “press” operates at the pleasure of the Chinese government.

According to the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China, Article 1, “The People’s Republic of China is a socialist state under the people’s democratic dictatorship led by the working class and based on the alliance of workers and peasants.”  If you think “democratic dictatorship” sounds like an oxymoron, I would agree.

Article 35 reads, “Citizens of the People’s Republic of China enjoy freedom of speech, of the press, of assembly, of association, of procession and of demonstration.”  It’s not my experience dictatorships, “democratic” or otherwise, promote “freedom of speech, of the press,” and so on.

According to the Council on Foreign Relations’ (CFR) backgrounder “Media Censorship in China” (last updated 2/17/2017), “The Chinese government has long kept tight reins on both traditional and new media to avoid potential subversion of its authority.  Its tactics often entail strict media controls using monitoring systems and firewalls, shuttering publications or websites, and jailing dissident journalists, bloggers, and activists.  Google’s battle with the Chinese government over internet censorship and the Norwegian Nobel Committee’s awarding of the 2010 Peace Prize to jailed Chinese activist Liu Xiaobo have also increased international attention to censorship issues.  At the same time, the country’s burgeoning economy relies on the web for growth, and experts say the growing need for internet freedom is testing the regime’s control.”  According to the CFR membership roster as of 7/6/2018, one of KD’s daughters, Amy Davidson Sorkin, is a member.  There’s nothing to indicate Mrs. Sorkin contributed to this backgrounder.

Three of KD’s other go-to “news” outlets are Granma, Russia Today, and Telesur, all government operated.

In a piece led off with “News that’s Hard to Find,” KD talked up Granma, self-described as the “OFFICIAL VOICE OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF CUBA CENTRAL COMMITTEE.”

Russia Today, aka RT, is funded by the Russian government.

Telesur is funded by a handful of Latin American governments, including Cuba and Venezuela.  According to The Guardian (US edition) in 2016, “Argentina pulled out of leftist TV network Telesur” in 2016.  “The pro-business government said it was shut out of financial and editorial decisions and said the leftist-leaning network blacklisted alternative viewpoints.”
