Trump Watching Too Many Movies; Carl Davidson (KD); Facebook; January 29, 2019.

KD describes himself on Facebook as a “Truthseeker, Changemaker, Student of The Way, Pilgrim on the Road.”

Please read “They know they can’t win if they don’t lie.”

You can learn more about BCR’s leftster management here.  “Leftster” is the combination of leftist and gangster, inspired by the left-originated “bankster.”

The primary purpose of this review is to address a thread in the comments for the post, not the post itself.

Carl Davidson 1/29/19 @ 10:38am: “TRUMP WATCHING TOO MANY MOVIES.  But does he know the difference between a documentary and a lurid, violent thriller?  Rachel has doubts and digs in.”

[RWC] The difference is in the eye of the beholder.  In the worlds of ideology and politics, there is no difference.  As kids, I think most of us were taught documentaries were factual, NOT fictional, presentations of a subject without the tint of opinion.  Webster’s definition is “a movie or a television or radio program that provides a factual record or report.”  I don’t know if either definition was ever the case in the real world, but it’s certainly not the case today.

Mick Bargerstock 1/30/19 @ 1:15am:Carl Davidson, your right about Bernie, he may be misguided in his politics but he at least admits the mistake in his political stand, AOC [Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez] is a dyed in the wool socialist , but too young thankfully, [U.S. Sen. Kamala] Harris [D-CA] won’t admit she’s a socialist, she just wants to bankrupt the country with her spending.  Universal healthcare is said to cost 32 trillion, that’s a large chunk of our economy, add free college and your breaking our economy especially when you institute your green disaster, looking 7.1 million jobs in the oil fields and related jobs and throwing away our major cash cow that now floats a lot of idiotic leftwing spending, you illogical liberals won’t be happy until we’re a 3rd.  World country, like most socialist countries are right now.”  [Note: Mick Bargerstock is a childhood friend of KD.  They don’t always agree.]

Carl Davidson 1/30/19 @ 8:44am: “Mick, Medicare for All means less expensive health care all around.  Whatever addition there is to taxes is more than covered by having no private premiumsAnd with government as the collective buyer, prices are going to drop, especially for drugs.  The 15% cut for the middle man will be gone.  You’ll get all sorts of numbers thrown at you, but M4A gets the most care for the least cost.  If you want, get a bunch of people together in your living room, or at the Raccoon muni building, and I’ll have my friend Randy do a presentation for you.  He’s been on this for 10 years, and is an expert on the issue.”

[RWC] Please read my paper Healthcare.

“And with government as the collective buyer, prices are going to drop?”  I thought one of the reasons we have anti-monopoly laws is because “collective buyers” and sellers have too much control over a market.

“no private premiums” for Medicare.  Since when?  I don’t know what KD’s Medicare package looks like, but mine includes coinsurance, copayments, deductibles, premiums, and so on.

If you want a presentation about M4A, KD’s “expert ,on the issue,” “friend Randy,” is close to the last person you would want if you are interested in getting all the info.  Randy is Randolph Shannon (RS), Board Secretary of the national Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) and Treasurer of the local PDA – PA 17th (old 12th, old 4th) Congressional District Chapter.  RS’ wife, Tina (TS), is Chairperson/President of the local PDAKD, RS, & TS are members of the National Coordinating Committee of the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism, originally a splinter group of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA).

Mick Bargerstock 1/30/19 @ 9:28am:Carl Davidson, my dad used to say figures don’t lie, but liars can figure. Harris wants free healthcare for ALL , including illegals and in the same breath is for open borders , can you imagine the disaster that would follow those two liberal screw- ups, a lot of people aren’t fooled, evidently you are.”

Carl Davidson 1/30/19 @ 9:49am: “Nobody wants ‘free’ healthcare for all.  Your Medicare and mine isn’t ‘free.’  We paid into it most of our lives.  Making it available to all means the Medicare deduction goes up a bit for everyone, but no one then has to pay for private insurance, unless they want some ‘boutique’ version.  And I don’t have to ‘imagine’ how it works.  Just look at Canada, France, Norway or a dozen other countries.  They healthcare costs overal are less than the USA.”

[RWC] “Nobody wants ‘free’ healthcare for all?”  Why not?

According to the M4A bill [Sec. 104(a)], “it is unlawful for a private health insurer to sell health insurance coverage that duplicates the benefits provided under this Act.”  Why?  This is to stop people who aren’t happy with the healthcare service provided by the government plan from augmenting that service.  Quebec, Canada, tried this prohibition after dissatisfied Canadians began purchasing supplemental insurance.  The Canada Supreme Court knocked down the prohibition, saying, “Access to a waiting list is not access to healthcare.”

KD wrote, “We paid into it most of our lives.”  What KD failed to mention is we never stop paying, even after we retire.  As with private insurance, how much we pay depends on the Medicare coverage we want.  Further, your Part B premium depends on your income. According to Medicare, “If your modified adjusted gross income is above a certain amount, you may pay an Income Related Monthly Adjustment Amount (IRMAA)” for Part B.

What would “some ‘boutique’ version” include?
