Thought for the Day ...; Carl Davidson (KD); Facebook; February 12, 2019.

KD describes himself on Facebook as a “Truthseeker, Changemaker, Student of The Way, Pilgrim on the Road.”

You can learn more about BCR’s leftster management here.  “Leftster” is the combination of leftist and gangster, inspired by the left-originated “bankster.”

The primary purpose of this review is to address a thread in the comments for the post, not the post itself.

Carl Davidson 2/12/19 @ 10:44am:THOUGHT FOR THE DAY … Thanks to Dennis O’Neil

The subject … is a four-panel cartoon entitled “Many White Americans Fail to Assimilate.”

Panel 1: “Some Self-Segregate in Homogenous Neighborhoods.”  Example: Caucasian Pointe – No Trespassing.

[RWC] Like black student unions on college campuses, Black Miss America, the Congressional Black Caucus, and so on?

When KD and his life partner moved back to Beaver County in late-2007, they chose to live in Raccoon Township (RT).  RT was 98.1% “White” at the time of the 2010 Census.  KD moved to Aliquippa (Plan 6) in mid-2017.  According to the Beaver County Times (BCT), “Plan 6 was the exception to the basic house design because that plan was established to house management and their families.  Those homes were considerably larger and more luxurious and were built on bigger lots.”  Aliquippa was 38.6% “Black” and 57.6% “White” at the time of the 2010 Census.  I don’t have plan-by-plan skin color data.

Panel 2: “Others Fly the Flag of a Foreign Country.”  Example: Some guy driving a pickup with a Confederate battle flag on top.

[RWC] Surprise!  We have at least one local & national lefty activist (you know who you are) who attends events flying the flags of Red China and the currently-defunct USSR.

Let’s also remember the Obama campaign office with a Cuban flag complete with a Che Guevara image.

Panel 3: “Many refuse to speak contemporary English.  Example: Seems like the Homos and Orientals are everywhere.”

[RWC] It might help if the language gods got their act together.  For example, a local website publisher once referred to a person as “a gay homosexual.”  Once the lingo gets straightened out, I’ll reevaluate my language usage.

In the U.S., switching from Oriental (“Far Eastern”) to Asian-American has the same problem as switching from black to African-American.  There are plenty of African-Americans who are not black.

Panel 4: “Will these stubborn holdouts ever integrate into our multiracial society?”  Example: Referring to a non-black guy wearing a MAGA baseball cap, a non-white guy answers, “it might help if they stopped wearing those funny hats.”

[RWC] This is an interesting question.  The last I heard, things like “white privilege” can never go away because all whites are born with it and it can’t be “baptized” away.  This means two things.

For a black, he can blame whites for his lack of “success” because he really never had a chance.

For a white, this means he’s deemed a racist even if he’s never committed a racist act his entire life.  For some, this will mean if she’s deemed a racist, she might as well act like one.  That is, of course, the objective of the activist.
