Below is a critique of the above editorial.

This editorial rambles on for 11 paragraphs about deadbeats not paying their hospital bills and blames the lack of universal healthcare.

Then, out of the blue and without a shred of supporting proof, the editorial jumps to the conclusion that, “Universal health care [sic] would alleviate this problem.”

Perhaps in a future piece the Times editorial board will provide us with the thought process behind its conclusion.
