I won’t do a detailed critique of this editorial because it is simply another in a long line of editorials supporting complete takeover of the government school system by the state.  Don’t expect the Times to state this up front, but that’s the outcome as you demand the state to provide more and more funding.  Of course, that’s expected from supporters of socialism.

The only way to fix a sick school system is to gradually eliminate state and federal funding and introduce a responsible voucher system.  Only when the local taxpayers have to balance their needs and wants with their willingness to pay will publicly funded education get back on track.
