Even worse; Editorial; Beaver County Times; August 1, 2006.

Below is a detailed critique of the subject editorial.

“Wages might not keep up with inflation this year.  But for many workers, inflation won’t be the only thing reducing the size of their paychecks.

“The Associated Press reports wage hikes are expected to be modest this year.  However, oil-driven inflation is expected to exceed those increases, meaning many workers will be sliding backward in terms of their income.

“It’s worse than that, though, because inflation isn’t the only thing that is taking a bite out of their paychecks.  Many workers with health-care insurance are paying much more for their coverage, which further cuts into their disposable income.”

[RWC] I missed the editorial’s recommended solution to the perceived problem.
