BCT Editorial – 5/28/07

Fading away; Editorial; Beaver County Times; May 28, 2007.

Rather than do a point-by-point critique of the editorial, I want to address only one point.

While the editorial appears to be an eloquent tribute to our armed forces, I have doubts it is genuine. Why would I make such a comment? If you recall, though the Times believes the current troop surge in Iraq will fail, it believes the surge should proceed.

As I’ve written previously, this is a cowardly and purely political position and not one taken by anyone who cares for our volunteers fighting for us in Iraq.
