A reminder; Editorial; Beaver County Times; July 3, 2007.

Below is a detailed critique of the subject editorial.

“The attempted car bombings in Great Britain remind us that terrorism has become a long-term fact of life.

“Fortunately, the two car bombs in London were found before they could be exploded, and the attack on Glasgow’s airport terminal did not produce any serious harm.

“Better yet, British authorities were able to respond quickly and have made at least five arrests.

“What took place in London and Glasgow could have happened anywhere.  We were lucky this time.  Their efforts failed.  That won’t always be the case.

“Because of that, we must have the resilience to take a blow and bounce back.

“We won’t know if we can do that until if happens to us - and it will.”

[RWC] Here’s my reminder.  Don’t forget that when anyone in the U.S. to the right of Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Edward Kennedy (D-MA), etc. makes comments similar to the above, Times editorials refer to that as fear mongering.
