The editorial subtitle is “Allegheny County group that’s fighting 10 percent drink tax is going after wrong politicians.”

According to the editorial, commonwealth politicians are responsible for the 10% drink tax because they didn’t load up commonwealth taxpayers with more taxes to pay for government-run bus systems. (With all their wonderful technology, why do newspapers – or at least the Times – need to print “10 percent” instead of “10%?”)

At no point does the editorial explain why commonwealth taxpayers should pay for local government-run bus systems.
