I’ve asked this question before and I’ll ask it again. Do Times editorial authors keep up with current events?

The editorial says, “The Associated Press reported environmental groups are fighting a wind farm planned for Somerset County because an endangered bat lives in the area.” and treats it as some new phenomenon. People have been fighting wind farms for killing birds and the “environmentally conscious” Kennedys have been fighting a wind farm because they don’t want their ocean view spoiled.

In fact, while so-called “environmental groups” constantly push for energy from “renewable” sources to replace coal, gas, oil, and nuclear power, other “environmental groups” constantly get in the way of hydro, solar, wind, et cetera power sources.
