The editorial subtitle is “Politics must not scuttle changes in school funding.” I don’t know if this is a new trend or not, but I just recently noticed the Times pulls out the “keep it above politics” BS when it comes to issues it supports.

This is simply the most recent in a series of Times editorials lobbying for more state taxpayer funding for public schools using the disproved implication that “affluent” school districts receive more funding than “poor” school districts. Please read my critique of “Failing grade” for details.
