Rich man, poor man; Editorial; Beaver County Times; June 24, 2008.

The editorial subtitle is “Middle-class America is in a fight for its survival.”

This is simply more of what we read a couple of days ago in “The new poor.”

The editorial says “And boy, have things gone wrong in the last two years.” Hmm, less than a year ago in “Crisis stage,” the Times told us “The number of Americans living in poverty declined for a first time since President Bush took office, and the nation’s medium household income has increased for a second straight year.” As I’ve noted before, Times editorials and consistency are not on speaking terms.
