This editorial is an example of both Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS) and the Times trying to advance Barack Obama’s campaign.

It’s an example of BDS because regardless of what President Bush does, it’s wrong by definition.

It’s an example of an off-the-books contribution to the Obama campaign because it provides cover for Mr. Obama’s position that he would negotiate personally with terrorists.

The Times doesn’t let the fact that North Korea isn’t the same as al-Qaida, Hamas, Hezbollah, et cetera get in the way.
