BCT Editorial – 8/20/08

As I wrote in a previous critique, “I might be inclined to believe the concern expressed by the editorial is genuine except for one thing. Times editorials consistently do their damnedest to belittle the mission of our armed forces in Iraq. Maybe it’s me, but I don’t honor someone by telling them their actions are misguided and worthless.”

Let’s also remember that despite telling us the Iraq surge wouldn’t work (here, here, here, here, here) the Times said do it anyway. If the Times really believed he surge wouldn’t work and really cared about our servicemen/servicewomen, shouldn’t the Times have lobbied against the surge?

This editorial is simply another example of the Times trying to have it both ways.
