Digging deep; Editorial; Beaver County Times; September 14, 2008.

The editorial subtitle is “Potential revenue from natural gas should be allocated wisely.”

Does the Times know natural gas [mostly methane (CH4) but also contains heavier hydrocarbons] is a so-called “fossil fuel” and when burned allegedly contributes to global warming?  I ask because the Times is a believer in manmade global warming.  Could it be the Times knows manmade global warming is a hoax?  That would explain throwing our climate “under the bus” in the quest for “a guaranteed stream of revenue” to be spent on more government programs.  I guess we have an indicator of Times priorities.  Perhaps the Times will recognize the inconsistency and publish an editorial opposing drilling for the natural gas unless all the carbon can be extracted and sequestered underground.
