The editorial subtitle is “Why does Democratic machine want to silence Beaver County voters?”

The editorial, about Democrat opposition to a referendum about home rule, is kind of humorous.

The question should be, “When don’t Democrats – or more accurately, leftists – want to silence voters?” We constantly see voter fraud efforts to dilute the votes of legitimate voters. Groups like ACORN and constant opposition to photo ID at the polls are just two examples.

We’re also routinely treated to leftists who exercise their right to free speech to shout down those with whom they disagree.

Let’s not forget the misnamed “fairness doctrine” whose purpose is to silence non-leftist speech.
