The editorial subtitle is “Voters in 47th District have two options in state Senate race.”

This, the first of what passes as an “endorsement” from the Times, is pretty lame. The same is true for endorsements that appear in “Real choices.”

The gist of this endorsement is something like “Well, if Mr. Elder wins, he’d be in the majority party and that may ‘give Beaver County a voice in the state Senate.’” Nowhere in the editorial do we read about the core principles of the candidates.
