First step; Editorial; Beaver County Times; March 31, 2009.

The editorial lauded Sec. of State Hillary Clinton for admitting “the United States has a drug problem” and then asserted, “One reason for that is our collective failure to recognize that our demand for drugs is the engine that is driving this problem, which will never diminish until we admit our role in the drug business.”

Maybe I travel with the wrong crowd, follow the wrong news sources, and read the wrong pundits, but I can’t recall anyone claiming something other than our demand for illegal drugs is the problem.  Of course, the unasked question is, how many of currently illegal drugs need to be illegal?
