As you read the editorial, did you notice what was not mentioned? There was no mention of the impact on taxpayers, and wasn’t reducing expenses one of the reasons for the merger? Is allegedly lessening “the perception in Monaca that Monaca is being swallowed by the bigger Center Area” really a good reason to keep open a facility that may not be needed? Wasn’t declining enrollment in both districts also a reason for the merger?

I don’t know which approach is better. My only point is the editorial didn’t mention the cost effects of the alternatives.
