Sore losers; Editorial; Beaver County Times; April 21, 2009.

Since October 2004, at least 16 Times editorials have cited “The Daily Show” and/or “The Colbert Report” as news sources. This is the second editorial to do so within the last two weeks and the third this year. Previously I wrote I didn’t know if this is funny or sad. I concluded it’s sad.

Regarding the continuing presentation of the “tea party” protests as being anti-tax, that’s only one of the issues. The editorial failed to note Gov. Perry was also addressing the federal government’s unconstitutional attempt to circumvent state law when it comes to the porkulus package. You see, the legislation contains a provision that if a state’s executive branch refuses to accept the porkulus, the state legislature can overrule the governor.

As for the “sore losers” comment, let’s recall the saying about those who live in glass houses. For eight years the left nonstop recited the “selected not elected” cry.
