Here’s another stat the editorial didn’t mention.  $100 million is only about 0.0029% of President Obama’s first budget.  That’s less than one-third of one-hundredth of a percent.

Don’t think the Times is turning on Mr. Obama, though.  Even a person’s staunchest supporters have a limit on how much they will be embarrassed, and almost everyone recognized the $100 million in spending cuts was a joke.
