Dirty work; Editorial; Beaver County Times; September 24, 2009.

“If this keeps up, they won’t stop until every nook and cranny of life in Pennsylvania is taxed.”  This is yet another head-spinning moment from the Times.  Why?  The Times consistently supports new and/or increased taxes and you probably recall recurring topics of Times editorials are the assertion our taxes aren’t high and the implication we’re selfish for not wanting tax increases.  The only exception I recall is when it comes to so-called business taxes that may directly affect Times operations.  Given all this, I wonder what’s really behind the Times’ apparent opposition to these taxes.
