If you read “Smoked out” from just three days before this editorial, your head is likely spinning and/or you feel a need to wrap your head in duct tape to keep it from exploding.  As a reminder, in that editorial the Times supported sin taxes, after writing against them in May 2009.  Now the Times appears to be back at its May position.
