My only comment is about the following excerpt: “State Rep. Gregory S. Vitali, D-Delaware, told the paper he thought some Republican senators were responsible for the evisceration of DEP’s budget, a charge the top Republican on the Senate’s environmental committee denied.”

It may make Mr. Vitali feel better trying to make this a Republican thing, but the last I checked, spending bills had to be passed by both houses of the General Assembly and signed into law by the governor. As a reminder, the governor is a Democrat and Democrats hold the majority in the House.
