BCT Editorial – 11/11/09

Souped up; Editorial; Beaver County Times; November 11, 2009.

This is pretty much a repeat of “A start” (2/24/09).

The Times has no credibility on this topic.  In an editorial entitled “Missing the point,” the Times claimed spending $255 million on the white elephant James E. Ross (D) Highway (Toll Route 60) was a good “investment.”  In what I believe was the first editorial about I-376 (“Worth the cost”), the Times claimed spending $91 million to put interstate signs on local intrastate roads “will be worth every penny.”  In fairness, a recent Times article claims, “[t]he project, when completed, will cost $39 million.”
