The idea government-run, taxpayer-funded “childhood development” programs are cure-alls is a recurring theme of the Times.  You’ll note the editorial provides nothing in the way of facts, research, et cetera to support its conclusion.  Please read my critiques of “Jogging around” (6/10/05) and “First steps” (4/5/06) for my comments.
