Note the editorial never explains why the City of Pittsburgh should be getting involved with installing a so-called “solar farm.”  If a “solar farm” were commercially viable here, wouldn’t private businesses be building them?

Also note that while the editorial asserts “China became the world’s largest maker of wind turbines last year [and] ‘has leapfrogged the West in the last two years to emerge as the world’s largest manufacturer of solar panels,’” it never claims Red China is the largest consumer of this equipment.  Indeed, the editorial says Red China “seeks to dominate energy-equipment exports.”  What this means is Red China is happy to profit by making this stuff for others to use, but will continue to use more economic energy sources for its own energy needs.

The editorial says, “Our nation must break from its dependence on carbon-based coal, natural gas and oil by developing renewable energy technologies like solar and wind power.”  In case you missed it, this is the Times telling us we must changes our energy sources because of manmade global warming.  Since the wheels are falling off the manmade global warming bandwagon almost daily, however, the Times knew it could not explicitly mention manmade global warming and be credible.
