The attack next time; Editorial; Beaver County Times; February 24, 2010.

A Times editorial trying to pin a nut’s actions on “the extreme right.”  Gee, what a shock.

While the editorial mentioned Mr. Stack’s anti-government ravings, it conveniently omitted his hatred of the Catholic Church, “recent presidential puppet GW Bush and his cronies,” “big business,” “the CPA world,” “the joke we call the American medical system, including the drug and insurance companies, are murdering tens of thousands of people a year and stealing from the corpses and victims they cripple,” and so on.  The editorial also failed to note Mr. Stack’s “manifesto” concluded by respectfully referring to communism while adding “The capitalist creed: From each according to his gullibility, to each according to his greed.”  How all of this makes Mr. Stack a product of the right - extreme or otherwise - I don’t know.

Of course, this isn’t the first time the Times has tried to pin the actions of a nut on the right.  You may recall last April the editorial “Terrorists within” asserted, “Police officers were victims of far-right hatred and ideology.”

Finally, have you seen the editorial about the University of Alabama - Huntsville professor who killed three of her colleagues and wounded three others because she was denied tenure?  No?  That could be because the Boston Herald reported, “A family source said Bishop, a mother of four children - the youngest a third-grade boy - was a far-left political extremist who was ‘obsessed’ with President Obama to the point of being off-putting.”
