Given the Times penchant for big government, I guess it should come as no surprise the Times would apparently look favorably upon “four or five mega-conferences ruling the roost.” I got a chuckle out of the editorial invoking economics. When has the Times ever talked about economics when lobbying for one of its pet big government programs?
Finally, the editorial says, “It’s all about money, and how the schools can get more of it.” Have you noticed the Times never seems to admit this - plus power - is the motivation behind big government programs?
