Chutzpah; Editorial; Beaver County Times; July 1, 2010.

The editorial asserts “Tuition and other costs are high because lawmakers consistently shortchange the schools (and their students) at budget time.”  Note the Times didn’t provide any examples of government subsidies keeping down the price of anything.  Indeed, exactly the opposite is always true.  It’s not a coincidence price increases in two of the most heavily government subsidized industries (education and healthcare) consistently outpace inflation.
