BCT Editorial – 7/1/10

In case you missed it, the Times idea of “shared sacrifice” is to increase taxes.  This is no surprise to anyone familiar with the Times body of editorial work on this topic.  Editorials support just about every spending proposal that comes down the pike and just about every tax increase, with the possible exception of those the Times believes will hurt its bottom line.  Spending cuts are either dismissed as irrelevant (as in this editorial) or characterized as mean.  I sure would like to know where the Times got its education/experience in economics because its proposals make no sense, either on paper or based on experience.

Finally, the Times tells us, “Anyone who says otherwise is … ‘not saying anything useful.’”  Like the Times?
