I’d like to see district lines drawn via a model taking into account community and county borders to minimize counties and municipalities split across districts. Another constraint would be the districts have more or less “regular” shapes instead of shapes obviously intended to provide an edge to either political party. The General Assembly and the Governor would get involved only to smooth out any “rough edges” the model didn’t address.
