BCT Editorial – 2/6/11

Numbers game; Editorial; Beaver County Times; February 6, 2011.

To refresh your memory, the Times supports a government-run, taxpayer-funded healthcare, including Obamacare.  Please read my paper entitled “Healthcare.”  As you read the editorial, pay attention to which “poll” the editorial fails to mention.

Naturally, the editorial failed to note other polls got different results in favor of Obamacare repeal.  I tend to avoid giving polls a lot of meaning because their outcome can be determined by who is surveyed and how questions are set up and asked.  Polls can be concocted to refute/support just about any position on any issue.

Did you note the story of the week regarding Obamacare the editorial failed to mention?  Florida federal district Judge Roger Vinson ruled Obamacare unconstitutional.  That’s two rulings of Obamacare being constitutional and two declaring it to be unconstitutional.

Finally, the poll the editorial failed to mention was the 2010 election.  Democrats got creamed at both the federal and state levels and virtually all federal Republican – and some Democrat – candidates cited repeal of Obamacare as a campaign promise.
