In bin Laden case, dead was better; Editorial; Beaver County Times; May 8, 2011.
I can’t help but wonder if we would have seen the same editorial had bin Laden been killed during the Bush administration.
As for the sentiment in the editorial title, I believe the Times means this. After all, does anyone believe lefties wanted to handle a captured bin laden under the rules they set for the Bush administration? If lefties were consistent, they would condemn the killing (or the capture had it occurred) of bin Laden because at least some of the intelligence leading the U.S. to his hiding place came from “enhanced interrogation” techniques the left condemned.
