The editorial authors clearly hope we’re ignorant on this topic. That’s why you’ll note the editorial didn’t mention what was behind the recall elections.
The Democrat Wisconsin senators were subjected to a recall because they fled the state to avoid doing their jobs, leaving the citizens of their districts unrepresented.
The Republican state senators were subjected to a recall for no other reason than labor union management didn’t like the way they voted and were viewed to be in “vulnerable” districts.
Oh, the “special interest groups that are trying to manipulate the system?” At the top of the list would be labor union management.
