Stream of hatred could do real harm; Betty Anderson; Beaver County Times; November 15, 2009.

Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“Wasn’t it strange, the large article in this paper about the indoctrination of German youth to the Nazi point of view?

“The young were taught ‘carefully to hate,’ as the song goes - and it worked.  They lost all their feelings of humanity toward their fellow man; witness their willing executions of Polish people.

“It’s a shame that it is now occurring in America.  Radio and TV shows use seditious words to indoctrinate Americans to hate other Americans.

“Where do you see all this ending?  How many times of repeating this hate will it take to slowly make the loving, caring, sharing soul of the American heart start to harden?

“Then God really should save us all.”

[RWC] Ms. Anderson didn’t give us specific examples of “Radio and TV shows [using] seditious words to indoctrinate Americans to hate other Americans,” so I can’t address that aspect of her letter.

What I do want to note is too many of us refer to speech with which we disagree as “hate” speech.  For example, if you criticize Obama administration leftist policies, you’re guilty of “hate speech” if not outright racism.
