Health-care system is flawed; Janet Calderelli; Beaver County Times; March 7, 2007.

Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“I was appalled when I read the front-page article ‘How sad is this?’

“It should have read ‘How terrible is this?’ that a child from Maryland had to die due to the fact that his family did not have dental insurance.”

[RWC] Please read my critique of “In poor health.”

“Senior citizens on fixed incomes as well as individuals who are working and have dental coverage still must pay exorbitant out-of-pocket expenses because no dental procedure is fully covered.”

[RWC] I have no dental insurance and, although I’d like to see lower prices, I haven’t run into “exorbitant out-of-pocket expenses.”  Then again, I get a check-up every six months to avoid problems in the first place.

“Meanwhile, our legislators and other government officials enjoy free health and dental insurance for themselves as well as their families.

“The whole health-care system is critically flawed.”

[RWC] Please read “Healthcare.”
