This is at least the 11th anti-Bush/anti-Republican letter from Mr. Hum since July 2004.

Before I begin, I have a “told you so.”  Mr. Hum led off his letter from September with, “Fellow Republicans, this is my last letter about George W. Bush.”  I responded with, “Anyone taking bets?”  This is Mr. Hum’s third anti-Bush letter within the last month.

Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“What a wonderful story in Sunday’s paper about a Vermont National Guard unit rigging a bulletproof glass cocoon around Humvee turrets.

“We are so proud of the job our troops are doing in Iraq as they jerry-rig armaments for their own protection.”

[RWC] In my opinion, and based on his most recent previous letter, Mr. Hum cares not one whit about our troops and hopes they fail in their mission.  Mr. Hum’s current mission in life is to bash President Bush and he doesn’t care who gets in the way.

“I’m sure Bush, Cheney and Rumseld [sic] are proud of them, too”

[RWC] I’m sure Mr. Hum wants us to forget soldiers have jerry-rigged equipment since the beginning of time to adjust to changing battlefield needs.
