Stephen F. Kislock, III – 2/23/07

All candidates are pro-Israel; Stephen F. Kislock, III; Beaver County Times; February 23, 2007.

Below is a detailed critique of the letter.

“Who are we going to vote for on the Republican side?  You have Brownback, Gilmore, Gingrich, Giuliani, Hagel, etc.

“On the Democratic side, you have Biden, Clinton, Dodd, Obama, Edwards, Gravel and the list goes on.”

[RWC] If you’re interested, my experience with Kislock letters indicates you should confirm the Israel positions of the aforementioned politicians.

“What is the common link to all these candidates?  All the hopefuls for the office of the president have put the interest of Israel ahead of the best interest and security of the United States.  Why?

“The Bush administration talks of democracy, but when the Palestinian people voted the wrong faction (Hamas) into power, according to the Bush administration, the United States wages economic war on the Palestinians.”

[RWC] Mr. Kislock conveniently omitted the fact Hamas is a terrorist organization.  Of course, so is its opposition, the Fatah party.

What is the “economic war” Mr. Kislock mentions?  Not giving foreign aid to Hamas.  You can bet that if we’d given aid to Hamas, we’d have read a letter telling us the Bush administration supports terrorists.

Apparently to Mr. Kislock, as long as you win an election, the U.S. should support you even if you’re a terrorist organization.

“The one-sided policy of the United States in regard to the Middle East makes the United States out as the enemy of any country seeking justice.”

[RWC] To what justice is Mr. Kislock referring?  Exactly who is it that straps bombs on their kids then sends them off to commit suicide and kill other innocents?

“The United States has used its veto power in the United Nations numerous times to defeat any attempt to rein in the expansion of Israel into Palestinian land.  Why?”

[RWC] In case Mr. Kislock has missed it, Israel has been returning land to the so-called Palestinians.  In return, the Palestinians launch attacks on Israel from the returned land.

“The presidential candidates mentioned above must not be Israeli lobbyists but Americans first.

“They must put the interest and security of the United States above all else.”

[RWC] If you’ve read Mr. Kislock’s letters, you’re probably thinking it would be nice if he practiced what he preached.
