Most of Mr. Kislock’s 30+ letters over the last four years have been Republican-bashing exercises, though he sometimes goes after Democrats for his pet causes. Mr. Kislock has been a busy writer; this is his fourth letter in three weeks and the fifth this year. If he isn’t careful, Mr. Kislock will use hp his allotment of 12 letters per year long before the end of the year.

Below is a detailed critique of the letter.

“Watching the immensely popular Fox News Show ‘Tea Bagging’ on Tax Day, I was impressed by the thousands of uninformed American taxpayers.”

[RWC] First, there was no show.

Second, the term “tea bagging/teabagging” is how lefties refer to “tea party” protests. The term refers to a sexual act you can look up for yourself. Yes, lefties using this terminology know what it means.

“I would expect those who were protesting G.W. Bush’s tax policies on April 15 to return to the U.S. Treasury the stimulus tax credits ($400 for individuals and $800 for couples) they will be receiving from the Obama administration.”

[RWC] I didn’t/won’t get anything from either the Bush or Obama stimulus payments. You’ll note Mr. Kislock failed to mention the tax rate increases favored by the Obama administration and that the “stimulus tax credits” will count as taxable income on your 2009 income tax return.

I know it’s not convenient for folks like Mr. Kislock, but the protesters were protesting everyone’s tax policies as well as further government intrusion into our lives.

“This shows you can lead U.S. taxpayers to water and they will drink.”

[RWC] Maybe I missed something, but isn’t that a good thing? After all, the idiom “you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink” means you can present someone with a good opportunity, but you can’t force the person to take advantage of it.
