There’s prison space for pedophile priests; Stephen F. Kislock, III; Beaver County Times; March 30, 2010.

Most of Mr. Kislock’s 51+ letters over the last six years have been Republican-bashing exercises, though he sometimes goes after Democrats for his pet causes.  Sometime during 2009 Mr. Kislock became an in-house commentator for Beaver County Blue.

Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“In response to Friday’s Associated Press article, ‘Did the man who would become pope turn his back on victims of sexual abuse?’”

[RWC] As you read this rant, keep in mind Mr. Kislock has a history of having a problem with deity-based religion, or at least Christianity.  Previous examples are here, here, and here.  It’s not clear if Mr. Kislock also has a problem with atheistic religion.

“The Catholic Church is out front in the light fighting for the unborn while in the darkened sacristy pedophile priests are raping the most vulnerable of the faith.”

[RWC] This is indication #1 the letter is about politics, not concern for alleged “victims of sexual abuse.”  Mr. Kislock has a letter history of going after “anti-abortionists.”

“How many more abuse cases must be reported before the Catholic Church is brought to its knees?  Will there be future child victims of pedophile priests?”

[RWC] Oops, Mr. Kislock let it slip; his real hope is to see to it “the Catholic Church is brought to its knees.”  To Mr. Kislock, I suspect alleged “victims of pedophile priests” are simply tools, a means to an end.

“The Vatican is screaming the pope is innocent, with hundreds if not thousands of new victims coming forward, thereby protecting the church and damning the victims.

“The Vatican’s voice is loud and clear when condemning homosexuals.  The homosexual lifestyle does not destroy lives.  Pedophile priests have destroyed thousands of lives.”

[RWC] This is indication #2 the letter is about politics, not concern for alleged “victims of sexual abuse.”  The Catholic Church doesn’t “condemn homosexuals.”

“What will it take to bring down this corrupt organization?  In the United States, we have two million prisoners; there is room for a few thousand priests, bishops, cardinals and a pope.”

[RWC] As I asked in a previous critique, did a nun crack his knuckles with a ruler when Mr. Kislock was a kid? <g>
