Timid Democrats no longer wanted; Stephen F. Kislock, III; Beaver County Times; November 4, 2010.

Most of Mr. Kislock’s 57+ letters over the last six years have been Republican-bashing exercises, though he sometimes goes after Democrats for his pet causes.  Sometime during 2009 Mr. Kislock became an in-house commentator for Beaver County RedsPlease follow this link to learn more about Beaver County Reds.

Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“Since this current Democratic Party, is incapable of leadership from the president down to U.S. Rep. Jason Altmire, ‘blue dog’ Democrat (?), the party should disband and reconstituted by the progressives.

“The Democrats had a majority in the U.S. House and Senate and were the weakest in the history of the United States.

“The Democrats in 2010 were scared or fearful of doing what had to be done with this majority because the Republicans might say something nasty.  Wow, now that is leadership.  Let real Democrats and progressives reformulate the party.  You couldn’t hear what the Democrats were trying to say over the noise from their shaking knees.

“When the Democrats from the president down needed to stand up, they sat down on their hands.

“The people will suffer for years to come because of no leadership from the party of so-called Democrats.  The party of ‘No’ was leading in all debates and won.”

[RWC] Yea, lefties like Mr. Kislock really don’t like it when there are legitimate debates of the issues.  That’s because leftist policies/programs can’t stand up against facts, history, and logic.

“Please, stand down now so a new and progressive Democratic Party can rise up and challenge ‘Citizen United’ or corporate America.”

[RWC] Mr. Kislock is apparently OK with the “Citizens United” ruling regarding labor union management, but not for “corporate” America.

Democrats passed so-called “jobs bills,” Obamacare, cap-and-tax (in the House), took over the student loan industry, et cetera.  That he believes “the U.S. House and Senate and were the weakest in the history of the United States” shows how far left Mr. Kislock and his fellow travelers at Beaver County Reds are.

Finally, there’s nothing “progressive” about progressives.  Since the beginning of humankind some people have always wanted to control the lives of other people.  That’s exactly what progressivism is all about.
