Recycle cans, kick politicians; Edward Kuyweski; Beaver County Times; February 1, 2013.

Mr. Kuyweski wrote at least nine letters since mid-2009.  Previous Kuyweski letters I critiqued were “Stop scare tactics and tell the truth” and “Don’t touch our entitlements.”

Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“Barack Obama, John Boehner, Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell, keep your hands off Social Security and Medicare.”

[RWC] As I wrote in the aforementioned critiques, “Letters like this tell me most of us don’t really understand how bad our current fiscal problems are.  They also make it even tougher for politicians to do the right thing.”

“Change the years from 65 to 67, no.  You want to touch an entitlement, how about yours. [sic]  You give up nothing.  You get a big pension and free medical insurance and all you do is screw with ours.  You stole $716 billion from Medicare, put it in Obamacare to make him look good.”

[RWC] Mr. Kuyweski is just a tad late.  The age to qualify for full SS benefits increased from 65 to 67 depending on your year of birth in 1983.

Don’t blame Messrs. Boehner (R-OH) and Mitchell (R-KY) for Obamacare and its raid on Medicare.  Every Republican in Congress at the time voted against Obamacare.

“You guys should be wearing pink jumpsuits and locked up in Sheriff Joe’s prison in Arizona.  If you’re on Medicare and Social Security, you better speak up now before its [sic] too late.  Don’t trust politicans [sic].

“Speaking of too late, where is the tea party?  You’re being accused of helping cause the fiscal cliff.  Might as well come down with both feet wearing combat boots with steel toes, and kick the politicans [sic] down the street.  I got my boots on.”
