Atheists don’t know the beauty of faith; Bruce McIntosh; Beaver County Times; December 9, 2010.

Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“In response to the atheist billboard recently put up on a New Jersey freeway: It states ‘You KNOW it’s a myth.  This season, celebrate reason.’

“These people are sad.  Truly hollow and sad.  They believe in nothing, therefore they have nothing to look forward to in their empty lives.  They cite the ‘religious right’s war’ on Christmas, in what can only be construed as a political jab in the interview with the pathetic atheist president David Silverman.

“This man is a complete disgrace to humanity.  I hope that he doesn’t have any children who he is poisoning with his rhetoric.

“Before I am labeled as a Bible-beater or anything of the like, let me say this:

“- I believe that the Holy Bible is a great instrument of faith and a moral life guide.  Do I believe it word for word?  No.

“- I believe that it was intended to get the best out of all who have read it and guide them on life’s journey.

“When my life reaches the end, I’m thankful that I have my faith to guide me into the next chapter, whatever that may be.  That is the beauty of faith.”

[RWC] The reason for this critique is only to point out atheism is itself a religion.  Why is atheism a religion?  Because, just as those who believe in a deity can’t prove the existence of God, atheists can’t prove God doesn’t exist.  Therefore, both beliefs are based on faith.
