Where’s the choice?; Marilyn McNees; Beaver County Times; October 30, 2011.
Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.
“In researching our Beaver County candidates for commissioner, I was more than disappointed to discover that every one of them is in favor of Marcellus shale drilling in our area.
“That means we have no advocate for our environment in the administration to come. Isn’t the purpose of an election to offer us a choice?”
[RWC] Note the false choice. Ms. McNees appears to believe a person can’t support “Marcellus shale drilling in our area” and be an “advocate for our environment.”
Isn’t it a little late for Ms. McNees to do her research? Where was Ms. McNees during the primary season and for whom did she vote?
