Polarization is sad; Jerry Miskulin; Beaver County Times; March 6, 2006.

Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“The country is so polarized politically and socially that it’s sad.

“If people on the far right think they know it all, then that tells me they must be very stupid.  To me, polarization means nothing more than the breeding of stupidity.  It’s been going on for so long, no wonder our students’ test scores are plummeting.

“This stupidity has permeated all aspects of our political and social lives.  It’s sort of taken on its own life, don’t you think?  Baby, you better not blink.”

[RWC] Stealing the title from an editorial of today, what chutzpah!  If you’ve read Mr. Miskulin’s letters for the last 18 months or so, you’ll recall those letters are partisan screeds full of name-calling and truth-challenged assertions.
