Dave Ninehouser – 7/5/13

Time for independence; Dave Ninehouser; Beaver County Times; July 5, 2013.

Mr. Ninehouser and his wife Erin are activists working for leftist special-interest groups in Southwestern PA, including but not limited to PA Wants to Work and Pennsylvania Health Access Network.

A previous Ninehouser letter was “God doesn’t love guns.”

Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“At Congressman Rothfus’ recent meet-and-greet in Freedom we discussed a response letter he had sent me about the budget debate.

“Unfortunately, the letter was a collection of the standard-issue talking points broadcast daily on Fox News and right-wing talk radio; a troubling fact given that multiple studies have shown that people who watch Fox as their primary source of news are less informed than people who watch no news at all.”

[RWC] Lefties have been selling the “righties are stupid” story for decades.  What’s new?  We also don’t believe in science and hate women, homosexuals, minorities, immigrants, kids, seniors, and a bunch of other “communities” I forgot.  I can’t begin to tell you how difficult it has been for me to be an engineer without employing science. <g>

“As I read Rothfus’ letter, which misrepresented the facts of the economic recovery, the deficit and the impact of the Ryan budget -- which would cost jobs, gut education and open Medicare to privatization -- I could hear the voices of Hannity, Limbaugh and O’Reilly speaking those very words.

“By reinforcing those messages in his official correspondence, Congressman Rothfus is spending taxpayer money to misinform his constituents.”

[RWC] Did you note Mr. Ninehouser provided no specifics to support his claims?  Mr. Ninehouser simply used “a collection of the standard-issue talking points broadcast daily on” any number of leftist media outlets, including left-wing talk radio.

“The July 4th observance is a good chance for Rep. Rothfus to reclaim his independence.  He can break free from the herd mentality and lead for his district, or he can sink deeper into the impenetrable bubble of right-wing group think along with his House Republican colleagues, who most Americans view as out-of-touch and extreme.”

[RWC] Translation: Mr. Ninehouser wants Mr. Rothfus to engage in “[left]-wing group think” and become a Republican in name only.

If “most Americans view” Mr. Rothfus’ “House Republican colleagues … as out-of-touch and extreme,” why are they the majority party in the House and who elected them?
