Paul Panza – 9/15/05

‘Just say no’; Paul Panza; Beaver County Times; September 15, 2005.

Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“As one great Republican icon once said, ‘Just say no!’  And I agree that the same applies to appointing John Roberts.  The Fourth Reich will be able to solidify its absolute rule with these kinds of appointees to the new world disorder.”

[RWC] Wow, invoking the image of Nazis!  How original – not.  Beyond that, Mr. Panza is working on the wrong side of the political spectrum unless he believes Judge Roberts is a leftist.  As I’ve noted many times before, the Nazis were on the left (liberal/progressive/socialist) end of the spectrum along with communists and fascists.

“‘Just say no!’ to John Roberts is what I need to see happen to know, as a citizen, that the system still works.  So come on, you representatives and senators, stand up and say ‘No!’ to John Roberts.”

[RWC] Perhaps Mr. Panza needs to retake some grade school civics classes.  Representatives have no say in the confirmation process, only senators do.

You’ll note nowhere does Mr. Panza say what bothers him about Judge Roberts.
